This is an old bug back on screen : In a sheet, change one of the views to "phong" (ie a simple sphere). Then zoom... --->The phong object is squeezed like an orange at the screen corner. But no juice comes out...

On V7, This bug is extremely easy to reproduce. I don't understand why it's still here. My spheres are almost totally squeezed...

Thanks JF (that'd be my new special name for you Jean-Francois !) Oh Lordie - sounds most like a graphics card glitch to me ! I think JL, TT and Antoine need to get together here - do you all have the same graphics adapter ? What else is common in your set-up ? I've certainly never seen it - but I really feel for JL as this has literally been bugging him for years ! JL - presumably you don't see this error on your laptop too ?

No Jol, it does'n seem to be related to the graphic board.
Here's a screengrab from my MacBook Pro : same bug.
The same thing too on my 24" iMac.
Jean-Francois, you show the model to sheet "at rest", did you try to zoom in ?
Thanks,
JL

Yes it's true..with zoom in, etc. Also with the typo in my template. It's very difficult to do a good CAD Sheet template. What you see it's not what you print!!

More example, it's a serious problem Tim, I spend a lot of time to adjust my file template to have a good CAD template print. In my file, some typo is out of border to be nice on my print!???

Thanks Jean-Franois,
Your movies are very clear : exactly what I wanted to explain.
Of course the defects are looking much worse on a real model, see attached views.
1 : initial drawing
2 : after changing the render to phong,
---> all the dimensions get thick, and the background turns to grey / white
3 : after zooming, see the mess...

JF
Remember that your drawings scale ie text and line weight scales to the printed output if you have preserve annotation sizes checked.
Try locking your text or uncheck the preserve annotation sizes in the print dialog box and see if you text outcome is better...
