It would be nice if the object properties box displayed all the input points of a conic not just the start, end, and rho. i.e. On a 4 point conic the object properties would display the start, end, shoulder, and slope control points.

I use 4 point conics quite a bit, and understand why I would want to control the Rho numerically, I do quite a bit. Why would I want to numerically control slope control ? If you go to Window / Inspector / Object properties / Data you will see that you can already control the start, end and points numerically as well as the Rho. The inspector will also allow you to show points, which will then allow you to drag them to wherever you want. Alternatively you can Command-Click on the conic (or any object) to show points. Once a point has been shown, you can then drag to select it, and then move it wherever you want.

to get a smooth surface on boat hulls and aircraft all 4 points of a conic need to be on smooth curves.

. . . But cant you position those by dragging the control points around ?

Yes Albatros, I second your request.
I use four points conic a lot and I always draw reference lines to attach the point to a known position...
And I have the same request for the
slope controls at the ends of any spline I'm always drawing lines for easier control...
