How Do I Remove the Old Version of ViaCAD? (#4094)

I took advantage of the sale today and upgraded from ViaCAD 2D/3D Ver. 6 to ViaCAD 2D/3D Ver. 8. The installation went fine and I can open Ver. 8 without any problem. I also opened an existing drawing without any issues. I still have Ver. 6 on my Mac (running Lion) and would like to delete it. Does Ver. 8 use any of the files in Ver. 6 or can I just drag Ver. 6 to the trash? All my drawing files are in other directories. I ask because there are no sub-directories under the applications icon in Finder for Ver. 8 while there is an extensive sub-directory structure under Ver. 6. Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob >> Does Ver. 8 use any of the files in Ver. 6 It keeps your preferences but those are not located in the ViaCAD 2D/3D v6 app folder. >>can I just drag Ver. 6 to the trash? Yes >>I ask because there are no sub-directories under the applications icon in >>Finder for Ver. 8 while there is an extensive sub-directory structure under >>Ver. 6. They are now located within the app bundle. Apple made us do that to get accepted into the app store. Tim
