Ver.15, Build 1722
The problem is this.. I set a dimension style for a given drawing type and scale, go into the "Standards Manager" and use save as to save the style. Upon closing (often times from a crash while using the dimension tool) and reopening the file, the saved standards do not exist. While this is the case when the program crashes, it is also the case if it has been closed gracefully.

Maybe related to this, I have never been able to save my workspace and always have to reset locations of tools and windows. I am wondering if this might be a file/directory permissions issue, but because there is so limited information and support for this produce, I really do not know where to start. Even a crash log would be helpful.

I am not new to ViaCAD as I started using it w/ ver.9. It has always been buggy, but I think it has gotten even more so with this version. Perhaps there is someone who has seen similar issues and gotten them resolved. It is very frustrating trying to finish a project!

Thanks for any help the community can offer.

The dimension manager works perfectly for me. I can add new styles, and they remain even after restarting the program. The dimensioning tool also works as usual. MTS has even improved – the issue with hidden lines being drawn as visible lines, when using precise curves, has been fixed.

Many thanks for your info !
But it is a pity that there is hardly any comprehensive information on SharkCAD v 15 here in the forum about the current status of bug fixes and improvements. Compared to the competition, which offers its customers comprehensive information and thus also a basis for decision-making for future investments. Here is just a small example of Vectorworks' information policy:
https://forum.vectorwork...ectorworks-2025-update3/
and
https://release.vectorwo...eleasenotes/Update3.html
So sorry for beeing left in the dark...
Best regards
G.

Just a note: When doing a lot of drawings in v14, I observed that placing dimensions in a clockwise direction seemed to reduce crashes. I haven’t done much with dimensions in v15 yet, but it might be worth testing if this still applies.

My window positions and toolbars are also saved when exiting. Maybe the software doesn't have sufficient permissions on your system to access the configuration folders.
