Is it possible to Section a 3D Solid?

I hope this makes sense. I was wondering if there is away to section a 3D Solid model while working on it, without having to first create a Model to Sheet, then Section a 2D view it in the Sheet? Thank you, Keith

You can use the Cut Section command. Just draw a plane in the direction you want cut, use the command on the solid, and then you'll get a 2D profile. Just put it on a separate layer. Hope that helps.
