I purchased a refurb M1 iMac (Ventura) and loaded V14 to have a backup computer for my MacBook Pro (Catalina) running V12 . Turns out files are not backward compatible. So I loaded V12 on the new iMac (noticed some on the forum do run it) and all I get is a blank screen.

Any way of solving these issues would be greatly appreciated....

That is correct. Typically each new version adds features/functions that change the file format.

Use the File : Export V12 to read the file back into V12.

Thanks Tim.

I can live with that workaround - thanks!

So the blank screen I'm seeing with V12 on Ventura - nothing appears after it is opened .. or even new solids as they are added seem to disappear.
