This Polyhedrons are very nice geometrical solids. Very important are also the Platonic Solids. The polygons can be spherically or flat. A example of a polyhedron is also a soccer ball. There's a quite inexpensive and very elegant dedicated software to create planar and stellated polyhedra, called Stella, https://www.software3d.com/Stella.php. Does flattened layouts for foldups too.

Please watch my Dodecahedron. This is the only way to split a shere in same parts, the 12 pentagons.
