Very new user
Hello ?

If I import a step file, how do I break it up into just flat shapes to export as DXF or DWG to use in another 2D CAD Package.

I usually just right click on the model and then you will have an option to convert it into curves which you can use to export as dxf.

If you just want certain parts, you can OFFSET SURFACE, SILHOUETTE CURVE and EXPORT.
