Wondering if a sheet metal maker could be implemented..
with a couple of fields including:
- material parameter (e.g. Alum, Steel, etc)
- gauge parameter (e.g. 16 ga.)
Could be somehow working together with both the Extrude and Offset tool? And the selected profile would be extruded or offset to that thickness.
This would be really handy for someone like me who does not have all the gauges memorized...

If I were you I'd smash out a bunch of symbols. I have loads of box section sketches that when I need them, I just drag them in, and drag out the push/pull face. A bit to initially set up, but once you're there it's easy going.
