I know you can turn off the tool tips, but it doesn't turn off all the tool tips. There is only one tool tip, which is not really a tool tip, that annoys me all the time, as it is constantly in the way:

When you want select a layer, immediately when you arrive there with your cursor, the layer name below is overlapped by a tool tip (in a white block). If you keep your mouse there, a tool tip with a yellow box appears. The last one is the one you can turn off in the preferences, but not the first one. The last, yellow one is not annoying, as it only comes up as expected, when the mouse arrow is on it for a few seconds. The first one should just completely disappear, or appear later. Now I have to move my mouse away from the layers panel, the move it back on a lower or higher level, then move it down or up to the desired layer. Or click on a layer.

It can even happen that you have two tool tips overlapping!

Thanks. I know the yellow ones can be turned off in the preferences. But as said, those are not bothering me, as they only come up after waiting a few seconds. I don't understand why there are two kind of tool tips and why that can't be turned off. I'll see what happens in 10.11.5, haven't done the upgrade yet. Still at 10.11.4.
