I'm brand new to this program and so far I'm liking it.
I've gone thru the menus and here in the forum and I can't seem to find a feature that I use a lot in my work.
I manufacture investment molds. So I get a drawing and have to add a shrink factor to it.

I import customer supplied prints, then usually just "resize" them to make a mold print.
For example a print dimension is 1.000" to which I add say 25% for a total of 1.25" on the mold I make.

Is this feature available? If I missed it somewhere I apologize and appreciate a direction to head in.

Thanks in advance!

Richard

Hi Richard

If you need to modify the actual 3D part there are a collection of tools in the Local Face Modeling palette that might help. (Chapter 38 of user guide). You can draft, offset, and move faces of a part.

You can use negative values in the thicken and offset tools which will shrink a part.

To use a draw view scale, check out the video Creating 2D drawings from 3D at the 2:20 minute mark.

Hello Richard

If you are referring to resizing 2d drawings you can use the scale command. Its in the menu Modify - Transform - Scale
