I designed a boat hull in in a yacht design program called FreeShip,
(
http://download.cnet.com/Freesh...000-6677_4-10558861.html ). I can export the hull shape from FreeShip an a xyz-coordinate file. I'm new to SharkFX and am seeking help with the following tasks:
1) importing the file,
2) turning the resultant points drawing into a surface,
3) extruding the surface to the designed hull thickness.
If it's ok to leave my email on this public forum, I can be reached at
[email protected] .

Looks interesting. I'm evaluating some technology to convert subdivision surfaces into Nurbs as we speak. What kind of formats does this application export? Tim

I downloaded and exported some of the demo ships to OBJ. They are all four sided quads making them nice candidates for the facet to nurb stuff I'm experimenting with. Tim
