Can we have some kind of flag or symbol to tell us which line we are drawing parallel to please, just so we're confident we're locked onto the right one?

Or, something like a glow to or pulsing of the line in question. Almost like a modified ambiguity pop-up....

OTOH, isn't it possible to extend a construction line off of the line to which you actually *want* to draw parallel?

Does "Display Snap Text" do anything for you?

It will be nice. I use the offset command for parallel. Puts it parallel and accurately distanced from the original.

Hi Martin
That's a nice tool. I like the way it stays locked on.
Which program?

Hi Chuck.

The program is called Ucancam.
It's not a perfect CAD application, but that particular feature is nice where there are two lines nearly parallel to each other and you need to be sure which one has been chosen by the system.
