If i put a file into the symbolsfolder i see only an smaler rectangel preview.
And is there a way to give my symbols names ?

When creating a symbol the software takes a screen shot to be used as the preview in the symbols library.

The name of the symbol in the symbols library is the file name that you saved the drawing as. Save the file using the name you would like to see in the library.

Just one thing to add to Todd's advice, before you save your symbol make sure you do a Zoom All (View:Zoom All) then the symbol preview will be as detailed as possible.

All the best

Thank you Todd, thank you Nick,

o.k. i have to zoom in. The preview has the name of the file. This works.
When i make a new folder to collect my symbols, i see no name, only the name of the folder. Is that mean, that i have to collect it outside an folder. (inside the symbolsfolder of course ;) )
And my previews are still rectangels and no squares  . How is punch doing the symbols previews ?
