Hi All

Is there anyway to edit STL model in ViaCAD Pro? I can import, scale, move and rotate triangle that make up the STL model, but I cant seem to delete any of the triangles?

Cheers, Steve

working with meshes in shark-viacad is painful, not recommendable, at least I think so
there is no specifict tools to handle meshes on vicad, you can try to convert to faces, edith them and then convert to meshes again but, believe me, is frustrating,

is better to use a polygonal software as blender, cinema 4d or modo to do this.

The way each triangle meets the triangles along its sides is part of the .stl format. Adjacent triangles must share two vertices, a full edge, so deleting a triangle from an .stl is one of the easiest methods of making it non-compliant with the format. You can replace coplanar triangles with planar polygons, but that makes it not an .stl file. Posting a specific example will make it easier to help.
