When I export out of ViaCad as a fact file it isn't recognized by Electric Image. I have to use Transporter to remake it into a fact file. In the camera window in EI I don't see the front of the model. I am looking thru it to the inside of the backside of the model. Is something set wrong in ViaCad, EI or Transporter?

Simply select "All files" (and not "FACT files") from the dropdown list on top of the import dialog. Once you select the files now shown, EIAS imports them without any problems.

I guess it's Transporter which messed the file up. Although many users recommend Transporter for almost everything, I've rarely been able to get something useful out of it...

Once you imported the file using "All files" shown, don't forget to DISable the "use polygon color" checkbox in the EIAS material dialog... otherwise your objects will render black.
