A feedback info is welcome and needed, this forum is intended for this, beside testing and discussing other topics (at least I think so, correct me if I am wrong), I know that it is not easy correct the issues, but a long time silence seems to me like we are being ignored, not a good feeling for a enthusiast user, i think, don't you?

Tim's signing his posts 'president, Evolution Software', which says to me that he's subcontracting to Encore, rather than being employed by them.

This makes any kind of export pointless, if you need to retain quality. Even a SAT file doesn't look quite the same when imported back in The problem seems to occur when analytics are converted to nurbs at export time or when solids are changed into surfaces etc. The upshot is that you have to be extremely careful as to what you can export and have confidence that it will retain it's original form. I don't think you've chosen the right tool for that job, Martin. VCP does tangent cover surface, which does a better job, translated or native.

Hi Zumer.
It looks like you've made a slightly different version to mine as yours doesn't have any Setback applied to the blends. As far as I'm aware, Setback is only available from within the Radial Blend option.
I have tried the Tangent Cover Surface for this after first hiding the original patch but the result was unacceptable.
The problem occurs when these Analytic shapes are made into NURB surfaces, such as when Offsetting a face/surface or when exported in IGES or STEP formats.
If you export your own version as a STEP, when it's brought back in and its surfaces analysed you can see the difference between the two quite easily with the Zebra tools.
Martin.

I'm willing to trade several years worth of added functions for bug-free operation. By jumping in here I hope to raise the pitch of the call to quality, thank you Jol for that. And thank you Tim also, I know you work hard at this.

Beating the dead horse does no good. Can we just sacrifice the gripper to the reliability gods? Finding pro 8 does not import illustrator files from post version ai 8 (now on v 17?) is not the time machine of simplicity people want.

Only Adobe products import post V8 Illustrator files because Adobe made the format closed. You can only blame Adobe for this.

viapro 6 does it with cs3 (illustrator 13). Fortunately I use dxf for almost all my back and forth. The new pdf creator allows my to go back into illustrator.
