1. The counterbore tool at an angle not normal to a sloped surface does not subtract above the centerpoint.

2. Which is proper drafting practice - counterbore depth from the imaginary centerpoint or from an edge to the specified depth? See attached. My customer's drawing specifies the 1.100 dimension as the depth.

Hi John.

I think you'll find that this 'problem' isn't unique to just CU, as you'd have similar problems doing this in Solidworks too.

I would model the wedge object as a rectangular box, and the bore two holes (wide enough to take you counterbores) from the top, down to the level from where you wish to start.

Next, from the side of the box, cut away the top half of your object (with draft), then create the counterbore from the existing holes that you created before.

Does that make sense?
