For hull fairing and other similarities, I think SLT/VCP don't have quite this equivalent, at the 00:30 index:

I sometimes find that the only way to make a surface track/match a curve is to add more stations, but that gradually degrades fairing and creates more work to battle "unfiaring" when even just one curve is adjusted downstream in the workflow in the region.

An alternative would be if I could make a point some have the quality/attribute of a "corner point" so that creases could be imposed just locally. But, for that I add more "control curves" to force manipulation locally.

Overall, I've gotten so much of what I wanted, but it took a long amount of work. If I hand off that process to others, they might question my sanity or perseverence, hehehehe...
