When I drag a symbol into a drawing and then do an option drag of it to create a copy, the newly created item is now a group; it loses its name, BOM details and such. Also happens with a EDIT>COPY>PASTE.

If I need 100 nuts on an assembly drawing, its a LOT easier to drag the symbol over 10 times, then select all 10 on the drawing, then do a C-n-P of the 10, 10 times.

Also when browsing symbols, there is no name/description show Nuts all look alike and to drag one over to see which one it is is a drag. Even a mouse fly over pop up of the file name would be big help.

Is there a way to refresh the symbol bowser without restarting Shark? I don't alway remember to save into the folder.

You could try the linear or polar duplicate tool to create multiples of objects, are you copying 3d or 2d objects?

The file name should pop up in box when hovering over symbol takes a second to show up

Thanks Jason.
I had Tool Tips turned off, so that fixed the symbol browser problem.

The linear/polar duplicate also renames them with 'group_xxx' They are 3D objects.
