FDM or SLA
Print Size
Resolution/Speed
FDM: heated Bed
open/closed Case
Display/LAN/WLAN
FDM: 'dongled' Filament (e.g. XYZprinting models)
Budget
etc.

If looking for an entry-level FDM 'cheapie' check the Creality Ender 3D.

A pretty good source for information and comparisons incl. user reviews is the Best 3D Printer Guide.

Mainly I print ABS.

Best to glue, best to rework, soluble by acetone (glueing and reworking)
neads closed housing (or no air draft)
no object cooling
tends to warping
smells and has unhealthy vapors (very varios)

temps ~ 230 - 250 degr. C
heat bed ~ 90 degr. C
becomes soft ~ 100 - 110 degr C

there are a lot of offers with different properties (e.g. smell and vapors, warping), starters are to void silver colors - experiences required.
