Hi all

I have had no issues with V10 or V11 Shark with Catalina 10.15 Beta (19A573a) so far not tested everything but what I have used works OK

Best regards

Go64 reports SharkCAD Pro V11 is 64 bit compliant with the exception of: libSpaPhlV5.dylib

These components are 32 bit:

/Contents/Resources/PHLV5Lib/libSpaACIS.dylib
/Contents/Resources/PHLV5Lib/PHLV5
/Contents/Resources/PHLV5Lib/libSpaPhlV5.dylib

Are these 32 bit components going to be an issue with Catalina?

I believe Go64 found the same issue with V10....

Thanks,

On Mojave already, PHLV5 is famous for generating a lot of CPU freezing...

Got this answer from Todd to my question if v10 and 11 are compatible

Hi Claus,

V10 is not, We had to do an update to V11 to make it compatible. Build 1441 of V11 is compatible with Catalina.

So there you have it. Good luck

Claus

I thought I would update you, I installed Catalina this morning and so far I have not had problems with V10. I'll post here if I come across issues.

Good man Claus !!

Normally I'm the guinea pig - but I can't be this year

Thank you for your brave efforts

Shame the company can't see fit to make a clear statement on this

... not their time getting wasted

I asked Todd what kind of problems to expect for V10 and this is his answer:

"We have had reports of the program not opening at all, the program crashing randomly, and a good number of graphic anomalies and this came all after the update to Catalina, after the program had been running fine on Mojave. These types of reports came from V11 users as well, so Tim had to create a patch for V11 which seemed to clear up the issues in testing."

Thanks Claus - has it been stable in v10 for you ?

... and what hardware are you using

Thanks - I'm currently not going to move to V11, so I'd appreciate any input from brave v10 users

Cheers, Jol
