Do we, as users, have the power to change the standard views in the Software or would that be a Developer thing?

No, However, you can generate custom views. (You have to avoid the standard view names)

eg Profile, Plan, Left Side

Yes :-)
Go to the path where your drawing templates are (similar in shark I'd imagine)

C:\Program Files\Punch! Software\ViaCAD Pro 10\Templates\ModelToSheet

Open which ever template size you want to edit. click to highlight the view, right click and select change view. pick which ever view you need. save the file, and then use that one with your next drawing.

I actually want to change the default saved views in the pull down menu. As I showed in my earlier post(s), MTS and the saved model views are not congruent. That's an issue. My hope was the reassign the view definition and "save over" the current saved views (Front, Left, Right) with a new definition. But I may not have the power.

To get where I need to be (for now) I have created a Start Part with new user views. I crehe Austin Powers movie. Now when I MTS, I delete all but the Top (saved model) view and simply use CNTL and drag the views off with proper projection. Kind of silly to have to do it...but it is what it is.

Do you know if I can create a custom tool pallet with icons that set the user views I just created? Hate to keep using CREO at the bar....but we can do it there very simply. I just wondered if this is available in VC/Shark. Do I need to Power Pack?

Well you can create your own view and then it comes up in the drop down. Not sure if you can then add that like I describe above though. I'll have to try it out :-)

So the image is the standard view set up for me. The video shows how you can edit the seed file to rotate the views to suit your needs. In the example I change it to 45° and 45° and X and Y and you see the results. Could you use this option to make up the standard drawings you need?

My 'top' view in the model matches my 'top' view on the drawing.
