Is there a way to convert a top level layer to a sub layer and move it under a different top level layer? For example, I started on an airplane design and I created layers for various sections like fuselage, wings, horizontal stab, vertical stab, etc. As I started adding more details I decided it would be better to make those layers sub layers under a new top level layer called airframe. Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks. XMack

This is a very good idea. For layers have i more ideas like Sort in alphabetical order and Layername = Feature (Part)-Name and Multirename and Multidelete, Hiding Layers permanently (show not when use the command "Show all") etc.

Yes xMack, a very good idea : When I import files I need to move some imported sublayers to other levels.
Today I recreate the layers and move the elements to them...

Problem : it's impossible to move many elements with history to another layer at once !
It seems that the links loose reference during movement :-(
Often ends up into a big mess.
