Hi All,

Thank You Tim for the first beta version of Shark v10. It looks really good!

I see some BUGS of Shark fx 1224 build was fixed in Shark Pro. Still some MTS issues not fixed, but I've already reported it.

Could we obtain any informations what features was added into Shark Pro compared to v9?

I found my answer....10.8 and greater !!!
I still have LION 10.7.5 because my system is stable and effective. Also, I wait the Mac PRO upgrade to change my main station.
Anyway I can test Shark-Pro on my second station - Mac OS 10.11

I like the removal of the FX part of the name, but is it called Sharkcad pro or Shark Pro? I think the first rule of marketing is to chose a name that is easy to remember and pronounce. I find Sharkcad to be difficult and vote for Shark Pro. Also I hope the icon it just a placeholder.

As for the program itself there is much to like, looks like a nice upgrade.

Nice upgrade

find the icon a bit non descript, I would not associate it with Shark straight away (looks like a fin but thats all) I prefer a shark on a red background stands out in the doc on Mac more.

Hello Tim,

Thank you for your efforts on this update.
But I am quite disappointed with this update, which is meant to be major.

I put in green the themes that are most useful to me in my workflow.

I am very disappointed by the lack of interest of Punch! Concerning the optimization of the MTS Module.

As repeated for more than 10 years, this mode of technical drawings 2d is absolutely unusable in a professional environment, with a normal production flow.

For example:
The bugs in the interpretation of the mode 3d in 2d:
Hidden lines
Tangent lines
Worse, it is impossible to trust in Shark to realize a 2d proffessional technical plan without errors.
I spend too many hours! To correct drawings and attributes of custom lines.

!!For me Shark is really good about 3D modeling!!

It only needs one MTS mode redesigned in depth.

Either I am the only one to ask for this level of performance, or there are not enough users who want to complain about this state.

Hi Antoine,

I noticed that MTS works quite good if there is no interference in Your model (verify -> interference), but generally I agree - to much bugs in this most needed module.

One what I have to say is the 3dpdf export in v10 is now very serious improvement (in v9 was useless).

Spatial took the CATIA library and added a bridge to interface between the CATIA geometry engine and the ACIS engine. The error is likely with the bridge created by Spatial.

The CATIA v5/v6 native imports in Shark are integrated the same way. They use the actual CATIA libraries but provide a bridge back into ACIS. It is the same libs you find if you install CATIA.

No. When SharkCAD V10 is released, then Encore asks us to stop releasing previous version builds.

I couldn't start Shark 10 Beta 1328 either - WIN 7-64 Pro

parts of the shark installer-prerequisites are:
vcredist_x64.exe
vcredist_x64_2012.exe
vcredist_x64_2013.exe
vcredist_x64_2015.exe

one of these 4 installers caused the problem, sorry all the logfiles have been deleted.

I tried the to fix the installer probs with the MS tool: NetFxRepairTool
but to no avail, also running
sfc /scannow
revealed any solution.

I am wondering if there is any suitable workaround ?

Those are the Visual Studio redistributable from MicroSoft. These should be the same as in ViaCAD Pro 10, are you having issues with ViaCAD 10 as well?
