I got Viacad 3D Pro V10 and i struggle at a very simple stage, having to set a line tangential to 2 circular arcs.
So i start the line on the first circle playing around until the word "tangent" appears and i pull to the other circle, again playing around until the word "tangent" appears.
After doing so with other circles and lines i want to trim the ends of the lines and circular arcs but some tangential connections got lost as the trim feature tells me that it would remove the whole line or arc.
Highly zoomed in the line and the arc don't meet. They stay parallel with a gap.

Another line has to be nearly (but not exact) horizontal to get tangential to the arcs.
I can start with "tangent" but on the other end it jumps between "horizontal" and somewhere inside the arc.

So how can i tell a line to stick as a tangent after drawing it?

Hi Pomi
I have attached a drawing of the system I use. There are probably better ones, but it works :-)
As to knowing when you are on point, the more you use the program the easier it is to tell when you have picked up the points.
If you read the messages from the logi cursor it helps.
Also under file, preferences, display you can change settings, super fine down to coarse

Hi Tim,
i tried exactly what is shown in the video from my first start.
But maybe there is something strange in my version:
I can not manage to see both words "tangent" at the same time.
When i reach the second circle the first "tangent" gets lost.

Anyway, thank you for the link. There is a lot to explore there as well.

Working with Marks "workaround" is not perfect but gives to me a spline instead of a lot of lines which are not connected.

Greetings, Christoph
