I'm having trouble with dfx files. If I get emailed a dfx file and I open it in viacad. After I make any modifications to it and export it as a new dfx, when I go to open it in Sheet Cam all that shows up is the new lines that I have drawn as part of the modification. It seems the original image isn't there. Is there a way to do this or do I have to redraw the image as that is what I have been doing?

Jl

I would look and see what layers things are on. What happens if you open the file again in viacad?

Sounds like layers or colors issue

actually when I first open it in viacad before and after modifications to the image, the original image is a lighter color than the new lines. I can select the image, even erase lines but the original image still is a lighter more faint color.

Try
Importing your original dxf file, make sure all objects are on visible layers or move all to a new layer that has a pen color thats is the same, and try exporting again.

Ok, that worked! Thanks for the help on that. Maybe you can help me out with another issue. When using the arc tool, how do I make it so the arc is more round and not segmented. It looks as if it's point to point and not a true arc.
