I find myself often wishing that right after I select a polyline or other geometry with the mouse, I can instantly right-click and in that menu would be a short-cut to delete it.

Is there a "DELETE" or "CLEAR" shortcut in Shark now? I haven't been able to find it in the shortcuts menu yet. If its in there, someone please advise where..?

Thanks!

Select the object and then hit the "delete" key.

Haha I've known of that one for quite some time;

Sorry I should have been clearer: what I meant was is there a way to implement "Delete" into the right-click so its a one-handed operation?

So the Delete command appears in the menu upon right-clicking any object.

Thanks,

*Deselect doesn't seem too much more complex of a command, which one can also accomplish by clicking anywhere but the selected object.

Ok understand. I also use that right click menu a lot because it is a simple one handed operation. Maybe we should have a way to add custom commands to the right click menu. Or repeat last command.

When I first started, one I used to look for under the right click menu was the group command, (I think I read or heard in a tutorial that the right click menu had all the actions that could be applied to the selected lines.) I'm using SFX8 so I am not sure if its peculiar to v8 or others
If you click on a line within an existing group the ungroup command is there. But not the group command.
Its on the edit menu, under group, then select group. Quite cumbersome.
Having said that finding the assign shortcuts tool was a big time saver.

On a first hearing, I like the idea of being able to add custom commands to the right click menu. sounds good.

i like the idea of adding the Delete to the Right-Click near to the top of the list, also being able to add operations to the Right-Click would be nice to have. also adding select in addition to the select all option would save time.

i would also like to be able to cycle to one of a previous few operations instead of having to re select it would save time.

Regards

Brian
