ViaCAD 2D does not recognize STL files. >>does that require ViaCAD 2D/3D, or maybe even ViaCAD Pro? ViaCAD 2D3D & Pro will convert up to 3k facets to a facetted solid suitable for export. The original mesh must be perfect (no collapsed facets, no duplicates, no gaps, tight tolerances,etc) for the tool to work. We've been doing some work with the PowerPack add-on to do a better job converting mesh data into useable solid modeling data.
