Anyone else finding this about the flakiest forum I've used? It mostly won't let me post anything, nothing under my username, only as guest. The so-called forum jump at the bottom right of the page does nothing.

*edit* so naturally, today it works.. I'll hold off on the celebrations, I think!

Test reply...

I'm brand new here, and just tried to create my first post as a new thread. It wouldn't post or preview, so I thought I'd try posting a response to this thread as a test.

Well, it let me post that, but wouldn't let me edit my post to add that it let me post...

So I'm trying this...

Well, the forum got an upgrade a few months ago. It is not the best, but you can adjust.

If only, they will fix the keep log in all the time instead of logging in every time or keep me logged in for two weeks or so.

Yet another test...

So far I have not been able to post a new thread, or edit any post I've made.

I can't find a way to contact a forum admin or moderator either.

No disrespect here... Seriously, no disrespect because it can't be easy to keep a forum running well, but are the forums supposed to work and be a reliable resource for ViaCAD? Or is it just me that's having trouble?

Hi Chris,

I looked at your user profile and settings and did not see anything unusual. Is it possible that is related to your browser? Do you have another browser you could try?

Regards

This worked for me...

I am a new member that initially could not post. PREVIEW, POST, CANCEL, Logout, and several other buttons
did not work. Using Internet Explorer 11 on Win 7 64-bit. So I tried this:

1) Goto forum Login page.
2) In IE 11, pulled down "Tools" menu and selected "Compatibility View Settings".
3) Added this forum URL to compatibility list.
4) Log into forum.
5) Attempted this post.

If this post shows-up, then the above worked.

One might also try setting Compatibility (per above) after logging in.
I tried it and it also worked for me.

Update 1: Hey! How about that...the post worked. I was also able to add this edit
after the post went-up.

Update 2: It appears that I have to perform the steps above each time I use the
forum if I want the buttons to work for posting etc. Not a big deal
though, since I now can now participate using the workaround above.
