Hello,
I have drawn out a wheel in 2d and then lathed to 3d. I have lined up the 3d tire to a jpeg reference and planned on drawing lines to make a shape to cut out around the spokes. The problem I am having is that my drawing cutouts are not planer. Some lines seem to be in plane and a few others are not. How would I draw a shape out on a flat plane for cutting these spokes out?
Thanks

Hello
You can select the workplane based on where you want it using tools in the workplane menu. Turn on the workplane dimming and show workplane to help you. Then make sure pic is on the workplane and trace the lines.
Or you could import the pic and switch to 2d mode and draw the geometry and then switch back to 3d and move the wheel model on top of the lines you drew at correct location.
Regards
Jason
