I try to use the select mask to select all black lines. I highlight the proper criteria, then what? It is obviously waiting for me to do something, but what?

The manual gives NO information on how to use the function, just that it exists.

Hi jfc

After you activate the selection mask, and pick you criteria.
2nd thing is to drag a selection window from left to right across the area you want to select items with the mask if its all on the screen.

Or after picking the selection criteria in the mask you can also use crtl A or in the top menus edit ---> select all. This will select all items in your drawing whether or not you can sdee them on the screen because of zoom level.
