I'd like to see an additional option for creating a solid cylinder. 3-clicks. Center, radius and then height. Sample icon attached.

Also, quick question -- Is it better to submit feature requests here or via email directly to punch! or both?

Thanks,
Paul

Both. Submitting to the forum provides an opportunity for others to chime in. Submitting to techsupport means its gets documented in our database.

Nope - you can click corner to corner but not center to radius.

Sorry Paulc I'm still confused.

With the circle tool, click the point where you wish to draw from, click again to define your circle, then measure the radius, using the parameter input box at the top if you need a precise measurement. Click extrude then highlight the circle just drawn (drawing a box around it). Choose your length in the parameter box. There. You now have a cylinder, where you have defined the radius and length/ height.

Isn't that the same thing? Or am I missing something?

Yes -- that's one way to do it, but it took 5 to 6 clicks. It would only take 3 clicks with a dedicated tool. Maybe I'm being stubborn, but I'd prefer the fastest solution.

LOL!!

Not even SolidWorks has that function!

What does get me though, is how close VC is to Solidworks. I guess it's that Spatial kernel??

What is wrong with the two point cylinder tool.

Two clicks to set length, then tab into the input box and set length and diameter. Two clicks. Three if you count selecting the tool.
