Jennifer O'Connor of 4D Artists Inc sent this image today. This was modeled in CU and rendered in 3DS Max and mental ray.

I assume that this will be assembled as a real model at some time? Punch needs more stuff like this imo, to show that it one can design more 'serious' engineered items rather than items that just 'look good'- like jewelery for example. Punch needs to show that there's more to the Mac side of modelling than animation and nice swept surfaces, if you see what I mean?

I must say though, you folks are already doing a pretty damn good job already! :D

And yes- lovely image Tim- make sure it makes it to the gallery (as well as the 'finished' example!).
