Can someone please remind me how to make a construction line in 2D/3D? I really miss them from LT. Will 2D/3D Pro cater for them (ie does it have the tool in the palette?)

Simple.
click on a point / line or someplace in space then press the apple / command key and either drag up, to the left or to the right depending on the direction you want the construction line to go in.

Of course there is always the more annoying and harder to remember, click on a point then go to the contextual menu and chose construction line.

Are things different in ViaCad land, or am I just misinterpreting the question ?

Tom, snap the first point, then right-click or the mac equivalent. Bottom of the right-click menu is construction lines.

Murray, just for the records, although Macs come with a (horrible) 1-button mouse (well actually they are 3-button, but you would never guess, and they are still horrible!), Mac will accept up to I think about 300 or so buttons! I swear by this Logitech Marble Trackball mouse. Been using it for years. If you hold the middle scroll wheel button down, while spinning the ball, it's a great tool for working fast, with CAD. Who needs a Space Navigator? :D:D

Actually I've just played around with both your suggestions, and although they are fine for basic construction line creation, dynView is not possible. It would be interesting to know if this tool (which was present in LT) is present in ViaCAD Pro?

V7? I suppose that makes sense really- because we're already at VC 6.

Hopefully I would have bought SFX 6 by then :D
