Tim,

I just finished watching the WWDC replay, and I would be remiss if I didn't ask for an iPhone viewer for ViaCAD/Shark models and drawings. Please take special note of the MIMvista medical application.

So, I'm asking.
When you have some free time...

That's it.
I'm done.

I think we were all watching? :)

An 3G iPhone for $199?? yes please!

Tim you really should get in touch with the Unity3D bunch. Unity are currently writing a kernel for the iPhone platform. Unity allows 3D real-time visualisation- and although it is mainly used as a game platform, it is also used by architectural companies in order to do 3D RT 'walk-thoughs'

http://unity3d.com/gallery/deve...es/architecture-and-viz/

Currently Unity don't mention Shark in their list of company products that work with it, but Shark with its precision engineering/ modelling kernel is the >perfect partner
(PS don't forget to download the free DOOM-like, made in Unity, "Avert Fate" demo- I'm not really a big gamer, but for a laugh, it's a lot of fun, and of course it's great to see this kind of thing on a Macintosh too).

You are always a step ahead of us...

Okay, how about something like this as well:

Use a USB connected iPhone as a contextual keybpad for ViaCAD model creation tools; and, if coupled with a compliant cradle, we might leverage the accelerometer as a primitive view controller, plus get all of the multi-touch functionality as a bonus. The MooCow music demo of their band application gives an idea of the possibilities of configurable keyboards.

My iTouch mostly sits during the day, so I thought that it would be cool to put it to use when I'm on the computer and its charging.

There are most definitely some cool possibilities to be had here, but lets get these Shark/ VC betas going strong first. :D

Agreed, iPhone is very cool, but then so is Shark FX!
