Tim,

At one time (certainly in build 788, I have just re-checked) it was possible to extend a line to a surface boundary, attempting this now causes an error popup.

Note: It also (on pc build 835) after the error, causes the dynamic rotate (middle mouse button) to change to dynamic zoom.

Attached:
pic01 showing simple example (example file attached)
Pic02 show error, although the line is extended beyond the boundary.

Hi Tim,

The trim to surface is also now giving errors, which does work in build 788. I hope this is just a bug and not a removed feature?

I haven't tried the method you used. But, i get the dynamic zoom "bug" and i don't know why nor what triggers it. I usually dont' find out until 4 or 5 steps beyond, when i'm banging my head on the desk over non-response to dynamic (middle mouse button) panning. Hitting the back-tick key doesn't release the mode into select. So, i think i sometimes am not even getting selections, or if i do, i still don't fall into a mode permitting dynamic panning.

I thought maybe VirtualBox had something to do with it, but in all respects i can recall, VBox has not caused my other apps to behave oddly or in quirky ways. I think VBox is not tripping VCAD up. I don't think my system resources are the problem. It's probably some code snag that's random, or based on some irreproducable (due to my memory span) chain of steps...

Hi,

No, it is the same on my setup. I did make note in my first post pointing out the problem.
