Here's an old request - but a goodie !

It always seemed so logical to me that option would flip over a surface offset, an offset curve and so on ..

.. so I've never understood why you don't allow option - immediately following a rotate command - to flip the rotate direction !?

I simply always rotate things the wrong way first .. and option-flip would release me from having to go mouse to the toolbar again and type in to negate the rotate number

That's all I want for Christmas (well hmmm - there is this perspective thing !)

Jol,
Like you this has bugged me for years, and I have always had to mouse to the control panel and enter that -. Then one day I got it. Clock-wise rotations are negative, anti-clockwise positive. Of course there is still the odd exception when things get messed up, but 90% of the time that works.

The solution to this age old problem is 3 fold:
- Add instructions that tell us which way a rotation will happen, clockwise or anti clockwise.
- Add the option key.
- Enlarge and change the direction of the tools icon arrow based on the number in the control panel.

Thats half the problem, but 99% of the time I use the >Rotate One PointWork Pln Normal< mode so if you know your work plane you are mostly okay.
