Over the last few months, I've reported several history tree issues .. with no response .. are you going to address them ?

Here's another

- sweep a 1 rail surface
- delete surface
... no history attached to original splines .. this is what I would expect !

but

- sweep a 1 rail surface
- make that into a solid by stitching
- delete solid
... history tree says the surface still exists .. it does not

.. why ?

The solid is gone .. surely all associated history should also be gone !

There are quite a few problems like this:

eg: when you extrude or lathe a solid from a profile, then delete the solid .. the constituent splines are still bound to one another in the history tree by a "profile" association .. that Concepts made, not me

I really dont want these associations to deleted objects in my model .. it screws everything up eventually .. and the only thing to do is to dump your history

I'm having more issues with the feature tree

Even modifying the data attributes of simple primitives that have been translated and unioned won't work !

Back me up here JL, Nick

Now, I know I've said it a hundred times now, but you guys have to sit down with a user that actually uses this stuff to it's max .. and fix these issues.

I'm very happy to be that person .. but please, one way or another .. let's get this history stuff finally working right !

These feature tree problems are seriously restrictive to it's use in all but the simplest of cases

Have similar probems.
A fix is seriously needed.
Im usually do more complex models than dice or basketballs, so i often run into such problems.

The history problems you are speaking about have now been brought to the attention of the developers. When we hear something we will post the information.

Hi Todd .. brilliant !!

As I'm sure you're aware, there are a bunch of long-standing Concepts issues recently posted to this forum

Us old-timers know how long their shadows fall

I hope Punch is as keen as we are to see these finally put to bed
