Can't extrude surfaces from a polygon .. but I can extrude solids from a polygon

(I'm talking about a smart polygon in this case)

Can we get some more consistency here please ?

Hi Todd

No, It works great

Just this inconsistency with surf extrude

However, there are lots of other similar inconsistencies between surface and solid tools .. I made a chart of them at one point and will try to dig it out

For example, you expect all extrude tools to work from profiles made from polygons, groups and faces .. but that is not the case. They all work with some of these but not others

It'd be nice to grab one of these tools and not have to think about it's idiosyncracies .. I'm sure you can see that !

Cheers Todd .. hopefully we can finally get these sorted out

Jol,

If you could find that chart, that would help alot. I can send that along with the long list of issues that you posted a while ago.

I have noticed some, but it would be good to be able to address them all

here you go !

we came a long way when going from CU2 to CU3 .. hopefully the last serious inconsistencies can be addressed in CU5

(the ones in red are the ones I reckon are more important)

Many of these tool input inconsistencies still exist .. take a look at the file

I think face edge input got fixes for cover surfaces .. but otherwise still some omissions
