So,
Is it me or does ViaCAD, Shark in general feel like the response of dragging window separators( viewport layouts), moving objects, stretching, etc. is slow? It almost stutters sometimes. It is NOT smooth. It slows the workflow.

I have been building an object in both (Rhino OSX) and ViaCAD6 (and the demo of Shark 5). The GUI in Rhino is QUICK and SMOOTH. Moving faces and strecthing, etc. is also smooth on screen.

Is ViaCAD/Shark using some other drawing methods on screen ( than OGL), is it optimized, why the lag? Are there more data/calculations being processed?

Try it.
Create a new document in ViaCAD with 4 viewports, and drag the separators around. Try it in Rhino OSX. HUGE difference.

Is this only a OSX issue and not a PC issue?

I am running Snow Leopard on a Quadcoare Intel MacPro with 10Gb Ram with a ATI Radeon HD 4870, so I don't think it should be a processor/video issue.

Just wondering if this is something Tim/Punch knows about, or if it is user/computer specific...

Thanks!
