Lets say I've drawn a bunch of lines in model space, and added them to a drawing, using the model to sheet function.

Suddenly I realize there's a couple lines I don't want in my view...

Is there any way to remove the lines from the view, without removing them from the model space?

I've tried removing it via the inspector, like one would remove a solid part, but that doesn't work. UserPostedImage

Can you flatten the drawing (and loose associativity) then delete the lines ?

I would prefer to keep the drawing views, rather than flatten everything.

If the lines are the result of a hidden line calculation, you can select and hit the delete key. If they were originally curves, then they will get deleted in model space as well as you noted. I will need to look into an option to delete just from a view.

Y' know, I've not really explored mode-to-sheet much. But, my off-the-cuff thinking is to wonder if it is possible to open a viewport or to switch to the basis view and select and hide objects or flag them with some appropriated attribute, then regenerate the model-to-sheet view.

What if you were to go to layers and delete the sheet layers? Of course you would have to redo the model to sheet without the lines that you don't want. Not an expert but worth looking into?

Mike,

Give it a go again in 962.

In addition to using the Edit:Cut, you can just select and hit the delete key.

Build 962 fixes the deleting curves from view problem!

Thanks Tim! Now I can start working on my drawings! UserPostedImage
