Okay, it's time for me to buckle down and learn this program. So I'll probably have some dumb questions for you...

Here's the first...

How do I draw 1/4 of an ellipse?

I've been drawing the full ellipse, and then dividing it. Is there an easier way?

Use the "two point conic" tool, thats a 1/4 of an ellipse

I see... but how do I specify the major half dimension of 40" and the minor half dimension of 27"?

I found it. According to the users manual, use the object info dialog box to modify an ellipse's start and end angle.
