How can I easily make a PDF out of layers? Does Shark build 853 even support this extremely standard format?

OR how can I export the different layers as ai files such that it recognizes the line types?

I'm nearing completion of this assignment and need to send it to my superior.

You can print by layer, only you need the layers in order so you can print say layer 3-5 only

I print all my pdfs to cutepdf print driver, or I export eps files and open in adobe acrobat (not reader) but standard or above.

Are you printing shaded 3d or 2d line drawings?

Thanks again. I am printing 2D line drawings only.

However, I wish to put them all in one document if possible. Each layer is it's own part. Unfortunately I don't own a copy of Acrobat - only the free reader.

Is making one document for all pages possible?

Yes, if they are all the same size, ie when you do page setup and fit your drawing to page size you can then goto file print by layer and print all to one pdf file.

See attached is one file printed that way with a pdf only print driver installed.

I hadn't previously known about printing to pdf.. Used to export each page as an .ai file.. and place in Macromedia FreeHand (supports multiple pages unlike illustrator) and then convert all hidden lines back to dashed as the export to ai caused all lines to become solid.

This took a long time especially with 20+ pages/parts.. This saved me a ton of time! Thanks Jason.
