I'm having a problem installing Shark LT v5 on a PPC Mac running OSX Tiger (10.4.11). Shark won't launch because it seems to need a library that's not installed on my machine. Here's the crash log:

**********

Host Name:
Date/Time:
OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S165)
Report Version: 4

Command: Shark LT
Path: /Applications/Shark LT v5/Shark LT.app/Contents/MacOS/Shark LT
Parent: WindowServer [55]

Version: 5.5, 1994-2008 Punch! Software (www.punchcad.com) (5.5)

PID: 281
Thread: Unknown

Link (dyld) error:

Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/ArmDll.framework/Versions/2/ArmDll
Referenced from: /Applications/Shark LT v5/Shark LT.app/Contents/MacOS/Shark LT
Reason: image not found
**********

Looking in the Frameworks folder, there really is no ArmDll.framework package. Google doesn't have much to say about that name either. Might the name stand for Adobe Rights Management library? I guess I'll be calling Punch! sometime in the next few days.

Just a hunch, but you probably need Leopard 10.5

(I can find this C-header source file within 10.5 searching with spotlight).

Time for an upgrade! :D:D

There were one or two Shark LT builds which missed installing the ArmDll.framework.
Installing the latest Demo Version (Build 853) should solve your problem.

Laura, how much did you get your copy for? We've all seen copies around for $700 (Shark FX).

Pleased you got it working too, it's good to have you on board! :D

I won't worry about PM'ing Laura, Steve M posted exactly the same link, in public, on this forum only last week. The only reason I haven't purchased Shark yet, is simply because it is far too much outlay to shell out in one go. What's more, Punch still has no way of making their software available over staggered payments- shame.

I really feel that Punch would attract more purchasers if they changed their current policy. Also us overseas customers loose out on these great offers too- it's really bloody unfair!

If anyone wants to find me a copy and send it over here, I'll PayPal them! ;) :D
