Well, not according to SketchUp. This model here was imported from VC into SketchUp. It's 3D!!

It comes in as a component too- very useful. Then you can explode it. Do what you want- like sort out all those triangles. :)

The main purpose of DXF/DWG is nevertheless the transport of 2D data. For 3D mesh data, the OBJ or [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.3ds"]3DS[/URL] or [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COLLADA"]Collada[/URL] format is regularly a better choice, especially in connection with textures or for transfering normals etc... and if supported by the participating apps.
