Hi, Tim,

I have a bunch of old Claris Cad files that I need to access from time to time, and since I'm on an Intel Mac there's not a very straight forward way to get to them. Is there any chance of a VC or Shark translator?

Thanks,
John

Just some ad ice based on past experonces:
invest in an older mac, or talk to someone who has one,
then export those files to a more current format.
I don't know of any direct means to import or translate.

Maybe, there is a program out there that can traslate clariscad files?
Good luck!

Hello John

If you still have a Mac which is running Claris CAD you could try to get hold of a copy of the original Claris CAD Translator which allowed export to .DXF

Best of luck

Hi John :)

I think- if my memory serves me right, that Purgatory Software's Intaglio will import Claris files. You could download the trial and see?

good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Just for fun I downloaded a demo of Turbocad 4.0 (nothing personal, Tim). Interestingly, it does read Claris Cad files, but I plan to stick with VC and Shark.
