Having installed ViaCAD V9 I again see that the quality of the dynamic view while turming it (by for instance using the 3D Connexion SpaceNavigator) the quality of the object is simplified (e.g. lines dissappear). Stopping the turning, than the view of the object regain (after 2-3 seconds) its original and full quality.

In the past, after installing ViaCAD V7 (about in 2011) I encounter the same occurence. And I put question forward on this site.

I was very pleased that I got a rapid reaction on this forum from someone (I believe from Mexico) who had the (simple) solution.
However I can't find his answer nomore.

Has anyone again the solution?

Jay

Hi Jay

Try changing some of the settings in the View: Shade Options dialog box.

The "Dynamic Shade" option has an option for Phong or Phong with edges that might help.

Tim,
Thanks for the quick response.
I did already find it out from some notes I made a long time ago, but was not sure if it was the right way/subject.

Still about my second queston: how can I get rid of the diagonals in the faces of solids?

If you have not already done so, Jay, you may want to turn off "Show Facet Edges" in the Shade Options dialog box.

I am assuming that that is a setting you may have checked/turned on but not turned off.

Regards.

So, you already know about that feature setting. I guess your issue must be something else.

Hopefully, it gets solved/resolved.
