I have a project I just started that has a model in it that seems to have problems (very slow to modify). So I converted it to surfaces and re stitch it into a solid. I wanted to see the difference in the sizes of the models, so I exported each one as a .sfx files. The stitch file was getting so big (1.25gig) I had to kill the process and it repeats, but if I removed the links it exported at a normal size. I can private email you if you would want to take a look at it.
