Attached is simple model of a 1"x12" coil spring created in SharkFX V7. I am trying to create 2 views from a plan view of a front and right auxiliary view, but before it can finish I am running out of memory and the program crashes. running XP64 with 8 gig's of memory. Program crashes at about 1.7 gigs.

Thanks

Shark/VC are currently 32 bit applications which therefore cannot access more than 2gb even under 64 bit operating systems.

Hi David,

I did a four view aok with V7 of this file. Are you using your own Layout or did you pick one from the list?

I am using a top view sheet that I created with V7 and then making the auxiliary view off of that.

Is this repeating for you because I use 4 to 20 springs in different dia.'s and lengths in every project I do and this repeats for me every time.

Thanks

Can you simplify the springs geometry in any way, or is there something hidden that consumes memory? I have only had this issue with files that are nearing the Gigabyte level.
